Today is better day than yesterday and the day before. Today the New England Patriots coaches, with Bill Belichick at the head of the table, will assess themselves heading into December.
It probably won't be pretty as Belichick likes to call 'em like he sees 'em.

Even for Coach Bill, it was an incredibly downbeat postgame performance.
It was amazingly brief (5 minutes, 46 seconds), and it was nearly unintelligible. Bill Belichick often says nothing useful after games, but you can usually at least hear how he phrases it. This time, after the New England Patriots' lopsided first-round loss to Baltimore, his nothing was sotto voce and thank God for the transcription.

Throughout the decade of their Dynasty, the New England Patriots have made a living under Bill Belichick’s philosophy of moving on to the next thing, whatever that may be; the next practice, the next meeting, the next game, or what have you.
Well, now that they got bumped out...nay, knocked out of the playoffs in the first round, the next thing happens to be next season.
Harsh words for a harsh reality that Patriots fans are living today.
