Actor Kevin Spacey has said he will continue to keep big name stars away from the Old Vic theatre in London. Spacey, 50, has been the artistic director of the Old Vic theatre for the past six years and has kept his word and only allowed a few big-name stars to grace the stage. A few stars, such as Jeff Goldblum, Matthew Modine and Richard Dreyfuss have appeared but he has said that he will not be bringing many more in the near future. Hollywood actor and Oscar winner Kevin Spacey will sit as a judge in The Shorts competition alongside Bond Girl Gemma Arterton. The competition which is all about “shining a light on Britain’s best film makers and giving them the biggest possible arena to showcase their work,” is now in its second year, which aims to champion undiscovered talent. Among this year’s shorts will showcase 12 works of different directors. Grand Prize and up to £30,000 in funding for their next film, with the UK Film Council and Virgin Media.
