Buffalo Bills Sunday Night Recap: Week 4

BUFFALO BILLS-31 ST.LOUIS RAMS-14

Oh what a great year to be a Bills fan. It appears all those years (decades, you could call them) spent sobbing in front of the television set, all those lost bets hoping that the Bills couldn't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, and finally--FINALLY--we get a season like the first quarter of 2008.

The Bills defeated the St. Louis Rams today, 31-14, after trailing at the half 14-6. That's right, the Bills outscored the Rams 25-0 in the second half--and as the past few games have shown, the Bills really decide to show up in the 3rd and especially 4th quarters. Trent Edwards was steely throughout the entire game, throwing a 40+ yard TD pass to WR Lee Evans late in the game.

The defense has been especially impressive this season, as Jabari Greer's 33-yard interception returned for a touchdown to put the Bills up 20-14. They would retain the lead throughout the remainder of the game.

Now, we Bills fans have learned our lesson--we're not going to celebrate early, especially not after 4 games. It's just as likely we'll go 4-12 as have a respectable, playoff season.

But you've just gotta feel good inside for this team and for this city, that finally we'll shake off the dust of previous ingratitudes and make it big this year. Because for us--for the city of Buffalo--the only way we could make up the loss of Tim Russert would be something he always wanted: a Super Bowl victory for the Bills.

YES WE CAN for the BUFFALO BILLS!
