Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner is such a beautiful story. I read the book a year and a half ago, which sets me up perfectly to enjoy an on-screen adaptation of the book ( My recipe for success in this area? Read book. Love book so much that I want more. This book is about two boys who are best friends despite their different backgrounds. Set in Afghanistan, this book tells a gut-wrenching story with themes grounded in betrayal, familial relationships, class segregation, and the harsh realities of life. I just finished reading The Kite-Runner by Khaled Hosseini —an excellent book if you’re looking for a fast paced story that grips you from start to finish. I’m excited to read A Thousand Splendid Suns—Hosseini’s second novel. I began Blink by Malcolm Gladwell a few days ago, and I can honestly say I’m a little disappointed thus far. He brings up some interesting arguments; however, the book jumps around a lot and doesn't follow through.
