The San Diego Padres have hired Jason McLeod as assistant general manager. McLeod rejoins the Padres after serving in the Boston Red Sox scouting department for the last seven years. He joined the Red Sox in 2003 and was named to his most recent post as director of amateur scouting after the 2004 season, when Boston won the World Series.
