Michael Vick's Documentary + His Fiance Speaks Out

He's out of prison, back in the NFL, and now Michael Vick is going to star in his own television series.

The quarterback is partnering with BET for a new eight-part TV series scheduled to air early next year. The program, tentatively titled "The Michael Vick Project," spotlights his comeback with the Philadelphia Eagles while also examining his tumultuous past -- including his troubled childhood and his 2007 arrest for running a dogfighting ring.

Vick is aware that the series may do little to alter the negative perception some hold against him.

"I just want people to really get to know me as an individual," Vick said last week in an interview from his home in Philadelphia. "What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I've made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it's not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up. All I can ask is that people are receptive and come to this with an open mind," Vick said. "I can't change the past; I can only change the present. I know there are people who can't forget what I did, but I hope they can someday forgive me." - Michael Vick

Kijafa Frink, who is engaged to Michael Vick and the mother of his two daughters, is speaking out and says she was not going to leave her man when Vick headed to prison.

“I love Michael with all my heart, and I felt like you just don’t stay with a person just for the good times, you have to toughen out the bad times and in between. What kind of a woman would I be to leave ’cause the money went? I wanted to stand by him and hopefully he stands by me with whatever I face in my life going forward...It seems like we’re getting out of the storm right now.” - Kijafa Frink

It sounds like the two of them are happy and are standing by each other. They are planning their wedding for next year and are pondering which city to marry in.
