Kimi Matias Räikkönen, born October 17, 1979) is a Finnish Formula One racing car driver for Scuderia Ferrari replacing Michael Schumacher after he retired in 2007. He finished runner-up in the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 2003 and 2005. He has driven for Sauber-Petronas (2001) and Team McLaren-Mercedes (2002-2006) and has signed a 3-year deal with Ferrari for the 2007 through 2009 seasons.

It seems Kimi Raikkonen will not be competing in Formula 1 at least until the end of the 2010 season. With Ferrari signing Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa for the upcoming season, Raikkonen was forced to look elsewhere. It now seems though he will not join another team and instead will take a sabbatical.
