King Tut 2 Is #1 Attraction

king-tut.jpgArts & Culture: Last year we told you that the King Tut 2 exhibit would be a great event to catch. It turns out that approximately 1.29 million visitors had similar feelings, as the “Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs” exhibit at the Franklin Institute was the number-one show of antiquities worldwide in 2007.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the show, which ran from February to September 2007 at the Franklin, averaged 5,375 visitors per day. The second largest drawing exhibit was “Manet to Picasso,” which drew 1.11 million visitors to London’s National Gallery from September 2006 to May 2007.
