Almost Beating Mayor Bloomberg Was the Best Thing to Ever Happen to Bill Thompson

After losing to Mayor Bloomberg in last week's mayoral election — but winning a moral victory by not getting destroyed — Bill Thompson has quickly become a local star of the Democratic Party. He's even being floated as a potential primary challenger to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Who knows if that'll happen, but if you thought Obama was snubbing Thompson before, watch out.
