Did you know the internet has many free knitting patterns for babies and children? I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite free knitting pattern sites. You can use these sites to knit for your own little ones or to knit for charity. I also wanted to show you two photos of projects I made from these sites.
With free patterns, you can find some clearance yarn at the craft store or use your 50% off coupon that is always in the newspaper, and knit a beautiful handmade gift for someone very inexpensively.
Love to Know Crafts - has a great article about baby knitting patterns and offers many links to free patterns.
Vintage Knitting Patterns - has both free baby boy and girl vintage patterns.
Bev's County Cottage is currently down for a few weeks until the server issue is resolved, but when the site comes back up, I encourage you to check it out. She has adorable free patterns for babies and many great charity knitting patterns. Here is a photo of the Bev's bootie pattern I made for my daughter:

The Daily Knitter has tons of free patterns, and even has patterns for blankets. If you are looking for other free patterns besides kids and babies, this is the place!
