Silky Wool Hats for the boys
I finally came up with a hat that both of my teen sons love. I'm using Silky Wool elsebeth lavold color 54 and 18. One hat for each color.The brown one is done and Alex is modeling it for me. The rust one is on the needles and needs to be finished soon before the cold weather really hits. I used a basic k2P1 Rib and then moved into plain stockinette for the crown. They wanted it to lay nice and flat with NO POINTY HEADS! Big criteria for a teen. So there you have it plain and simple and they love it. Now they have ideas for more hats and we are selecting yarn and talking about the designs. When you hear "hey Mom I like that hat and it's better than Zumie's well then my job is done.
