While real estate “doom & gloom” continues to dominate the national news, homes sales in many parts of the country continue rolling along. Our greater Knoxville, Tennessee is one of those “rolling along” areas. In 2007 our total number of units sold had a modest decline , “dropping from 17,401 homes sold in 2006 to ‘only’ 15,508 sold in 2007″. Friday, August 18th is the start of early voting for Knox County. My wife and I love the convenience early voting offers. No long lines normally, just walk in, register, vote, and you’re outta there. There are several stories about how Mr. Palmer got the nickname “Booger” but the most commonly accepted one came from his ... Read Full Story

This is a great bike area because it’s really flat along the river and also the east end of the Third Creek Greenway/Bike path which now runs down into Bearden. You can rent a bike for just 10 bucks for a 2 hour spin or 30 bucks for an all day adventure. Great for non bike owners or if you just want to take a ... Read Full Story
