Hey, Kittens! Let's check in and see what's happening with our favorite pouty designer! Mocha poses with Korto Momolu at a discussion of "This Child Will Be Great: Memoir Of A Remarkable Life by Africa's First Woman President" at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. They're both wearing pieces from the Korto Momolu fall 2009 collection: Models: Tocarra, Stacy McKenzie And they both look fabulous. Although Mocha should have worn it with a belt, the way it was styled for the runway show. Korto has a fabulous sense for color and print and it's been said many times before, ... Read Full Story

Okay so ..... I was suppose to have lunch with my beloved Liberian designer, from Project Runway (Season Series 5) Korto Momolu on Monday, August 17 after her dealings with the Wendy Williams Show ("how you"... - you know the rest). But we didn't quite get around to having lunch. Why? The woman is extremely busy! Project Runway All-Star Challenge, airing tonight, August 20th, 8:00 PM EST on Lifetime. This Project Runway show is invigorating because it is jam packed with eight designers from past seasons of "Project Runway." And yes, Korto is one of those lovely eight designers . My opinion: Korto Momolu ... Read Full Story

If you're an avid fan of Project Runway like I am, then you would know who Korto Momolu is. On the reunion show, Korto was voted the fan favorite and received a check for $10k. Even though she came in second on the show, she still remained numero uno to a lot of fans. Explaining her vote as "fan favorite" for the fifth season, the 33-year-old Liberia-born designer told E! Online it must be because "People relate to me. I'm real. I cry when it's time to cry, and I pout when it's time to pout. I'm a mama, I'm a wife, I'm an ... Read Full Story

...is FINALLY open! May we take your order? Yapi Kredi World Lounge, Istanbul International Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, Turkey, courtesy of Fabulon . Darlings, there is much business to discuss before we get down to our virtual drinking (to be followed by virtual drunkenness, virtual hookups, and finally, virtual vomit and a virtual walk of shame). First, a big round of applause to our good pal Thombeau of Planet Fabulon . You see, when we started T LOunge last year, we found that it was a huge pain in the ass trying to find pictures of fabulous night spots the world over to feature at ... Read Full Story

"Hey guys, Just wanted you to tell your readers that I did hug and kiss Daniel prior to leaving the stage...(feel free to ask him)....it was edited out (and why wouldn't I?). I guess it didn't fit the whiney, "woe is me" look they were going for my character this go around. I was asked what felt like a million times, if I felt like I should have won and you know what? I said yes a million times and they played it a million times. Sorry I will never say I should have lost...never! Nor will I say I wasn't deserving. We were ... Read Full Story

BPR Field Reporter Tina G was at Korto's Show in Boston and send us this report - thanks Tina!As she always has, Korto remained true to her point-of-view. She infuses her African heritage in her designs without making them costume-y. The effect is subtle, yet truly evident. She had some beautiful knit pantsuits a long, flowly dresses. I love her short dresses made of denim and of kente cloth. They are perfect for a summer day or night out...

Korto Momolu holds the rare distinction of being a “Project Runway’’ runner-up - twice. First, in season five of the reality show competition, she came in second to Leanne Marshall. Then this summer, during a “Project Runway’’ all-star competition, she came in second again, this time behind Daniel Vosovic. But the Liberian-born, Arkansas-based designer sounds remarkably unscathed by the experience.
