Fukudome posted a .262/.342/.370 line for the Cubs and Indians in 530 plate appearances last year. The 34-year-old posted career-lows in on-base percentage and slugging percentage while playing right and center field.

Hopefully Kosuke Fukudome didn't sell his home in Chicago because the former Cubs outfielder agreed to terms with the White Sox on Tuesday.  

Kosuke Fukudome is joining the Chicago White Sox for a fraction of the price he cost the Cubs four years ago. The outfielder agreed Tuesday to a one-year contract that guarantees $1 million. He will get a $500,000 salary this year, and the White Sox have a $3.5 million option for 2013 with a $500,000 buyout.  

I was envious of the Cubs when they signed Kosuke Fukudome. I thought he'd be as productive in the majors as Hideki Matsui, but with the ability to play center. It's not like Kosuke was a bust -- he has a career .361 OBP -- but he certainly wasn't worth the 4/$48M that the Cubs gave him. The Giants were interested, but they dodged that bullet to sign Aaron Rowand. Whew. I was envious of the Mets when they signed Kaz Matsui. The Giants were...
