Movie Trailer: Couples Retreat
The first trailer for Jon Favreau’s Couples Retreat premiered this week in front of Public Enemies. The movie stars (in couple pairing) - Vince Vaughn/Malin Ackerman, Jon Favreau/Kristin Davis, Jason Bateman/Kristen Bell and Faizon Love/Kali Hawk. The film also co-stars Jean Reno who plays a therapist and operator of the resort. Peter Serafinowicz plays the British owner of the resort who oversees the couples’ stay. The comedy is directed by Peter Billingsley.
The comedy centers around four couples who go on a vacation to a tropical-island resort. While one of the couples is there to work on the marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resort’s therapy sessions is not optional.
I really liked this trailer and Favreau’s writing is always unique when it comes to relationships. The Break Up was kind of a twist on the romantic comedy genre. This film is sure to be different as well. That being said the fact that Kristen Bell is in the film is enough for me.
