Kyle Sampson

Kyle Sampson wrote an email ( which has been released to the public here ) detailing his logic behind recommendations to remove certain US attorneys for political reasons. Sampson resigned from his post in response to the email scandal.  Sampson testified to committee this week.  Sounded like a guilty dude... Bud Cummins, one of the 8 fired federal prosecutors, told the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service that Justice Gonzales should have placed a ''firewall'' between partisan politics and the work of the Justice Department.  Kyle Sampson testified that Gonzales was personally involved in the decisions to fire 8 senior members of the Justice Department becuase of their political affiliation and lack of "loyalty" to George W.
