Kyle Sampson is the Justice Department aide who resigned over the firings of U.S. attorneys. He was forced to appear before a Senate committee, but he claimed to "not remember" many of the answers to questions asked. However he did say that the lawyers weren't fired based on their professional performance, but instead because they weren't supporting President Bush's political agenda.
