Lady Gaga's studded BirkinThe fashion world just had a heart attack—again. It wasn't enough for Lady Gaga to stop hearts when she scribbled on her white Hermès Birkin with a black marker. This time, the pop singer has been photographed toting around a haphazardly studded Birkin. In an industry where the Birkin is worshipped and the five-figure bags often have a waitlist, this is tantamount to sacrilege.

Lady Gaga is clearly no stranger to attention-grabbing-antics. Maybe this is simply a publicity stunt? Or perhaps bastardizing a Birkin is therapeutic for Gaga—kind of like like knitting. The question is, does Lady Gaga do this customization herself, or does she have a team of vandals at her beck and call? Her Birkin looks pretty dangerous, so maybe she is just protecting her assets from would-be thieves.
They say that death comes in threes—keep your eyes open for the third Birkin sacrifice.
