54th National Film Awards

Lage Raho Munnabhai ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ became the first Hindi film sequel to repeat the history of winning the award  as its prequel ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ had bagged similar honor in 2003. It was the undisputed winner of he year that has won four awards in the nations’ prestigious awards ‘54th National Film Awards’.It won four of the awards in the categories of Best Screenplay(Raj Kumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Abhijat Joshi), Best Lyrics(Swanand Kirkire), Best Supporting actor(Dilip Prabhavalkar) and for the best Entertainment of the year.   Gandhian Values ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ and the ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ was a serious attempt to familiarize the young generation of  not only of the country but also of the world with the Gandhian principals and the morals.
