Lance Armstrong sets new Leadville 100 record

American cyclist Lance Armstrong won this year's Leadville 100 mountain bike race in Leadville, CO.  Armstrong set a new course record.
The Leadville 100 is quickly becoming the premiere mountain bike race of the year.  The Colorado-based event started in 1994 and has gained a worldwide following as riders such as Floyd Landis and Lance Armstrong joined the competition.  The race covers 100 miles of mountainous trail.

This year's race was dominated by Lance Armstrong.  Lance finished in first place with a time of 6:28:50, a significant improvement over the previous record of 6:45:45.  Not only did Lance set a new course record, he also did it while riding no a flat tire!  Visit Zimbio's cycling page for more on the race's history.
