Kate Hudson And Lance Armstrong Break Up - It's Over

"There was no drama or ugliness - they just decided to end things," a source close to the couple said in a press release. "There is no hatred, just sadness."

Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong have ended their relationship.

Hudson was recently seen with Armstrong at several of his bike races and publicity events, including his three-day Lance Armstrong "Livestrong" Summit in Columbus, Ohio, this past weekend.

It was at the conference that Kate and Lance decided to end their relationship.

The New York Post's Page Six gossip column is reporting that the couple tried to make it work, but the constant bickering and their travel schedules drove them apart.

Hudson and Armstrong's romance went public when they were seen together in Austin, Texas, in May of this year.

But things still look good for Hudson as she prepares for the September 19 opening of her comedy "My Best Friend's Girl" with Alec Baldwin and Dane Cook.

The flick tells the story of Tank, (Dane Cook) who faces the ultimate test of friendship when his best friend hires him to take his ex-girlfriend (Kate Hudson) out on a lousy date in order to make her realize how great her former boyfriend is.

Kate will also be seen next January in the romantic comedy "Bride Wars" starring Candice Bergen and Anne Hathaway, about two best friends who become rivals when they schedule their respective weddings on the same day.

Also next year will be "Nine", the romantic comedy starring Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Daniel Day-Lewis, Penélope Cruz and Judi Dench. "Nine" is a drama following a film director named Guido Contini, who is middle aged and trying to complete his next film. His main problem is that he has too many women in his life - Luisa, his wife, Carla his sexy mistress, and Claudia, his muse and protege.
