Landon Donovan has won the Honda player of the year award as the best player on the U.S. national soccer team for a record-breaking sixth time. Donovan received the award and a new car Tuesday in Los Angeles. He earned a total of 424 points in voting by U.S. sports media. Landon Donovan, who has been on loan to the Bundesliga's Bayern Munich, will return to the team next week, the Major League Soccer club announced on Thursday.
