Garrison Moved to Higher Security Facility

After reports circulated that Lane Garrison, formerly of Prison Break, would be released early from prison, it seems, that he's being moved to a tougher facility.

After being locked up at the Golden State Correctional Facility near Bakersfield, California for vehicular manslaughter, Garrison has been moved to the medium/maximum-security California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility in Corcoran, E! News Reports. The facility is adjacent to Corcoran State Prison, where Charles Manson is currently being held.

But, it's not like Garrison will be Manson's new cellmate. The facility apparently has a number of different accommodations, ranging from open dormitories, to more isolated areas for maximum-security prisoners.

This also is not the first celebrity that has stayed at the treatment facility, Robert Downey Jr. called it home for a year, when he was locked up in 1999 for a parole violation, most likely stemming from one of his many drug related charges.

Last May, Garrison pleaded guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter charges as a result of a DUI crash that killed one of his passengers, a 17-year-old boy. He was sentenced to 40 months in jail, but could be out in 20 for good behavior and time served.

So far, he's reportedly been a model inmate, leading prayer groups and substance support meetings. He's also responded to more than 1,200 letters, encouraging people to make good decisions and do the right thing. 1,200 letters is a lot, but you have to figure, he's got a lot of time on his hands.
