Alber Elbaz delighted and surprised us when he adorned the Lanvin Faubourg Saint-Honoré store window with miniature mannequins last year and then took it a step further to create six Miss Lanvin porcelain hand painted dolls with Taiwanese ceramics company Franz. The second series of dolls from Lanvin have just been released and feature seven silhouettes from the S/S 08 Lanvin collection as well as the bridal capsule collection. Packaged ... Read Full Story

French savoir-faire: it's pretty much synonymous with with one couture house, Lanvin. But on Friday, the drapery master Alber Elbaz outdid himself -- in stretch cottons and ultralight leathers. Meanwhile, in the dishabille category, LiLo's showing at Emanuel Ungaro left the Madge-bra redux by fashion's erstwhile enfant terrible, Jean Paul Gaultier, looking positively demure.

There's a new name you need to know: Peter Copping. The English designer, who used to work with Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton and has just taken the helm at Nina Ricci, made a strong case for flirty femininity by rejuvenating the house's signature vocabulary of lace, bows and frills to create a sexy Lolita-like collection.
