VPOD: Lanvin Love

My heart soars when I am with my daughter so it's easy to understand the unique relationship Jeanne Lanvin had with her daughter, Margeurite, and how it inspired much of her work. After all, it was creating dresses for Marguerite's dolls that led to Jeanne Lanvin creating dresses for Margeurite herself, and then that quickly led to all those other magnificent creations that bear her name.
But perhaps nothing captures the joy of this mother-daughter relationship quite like the Lanvin logo. Created in 1954 from an illustration by Jeanne, it shows Jeanne and Margeurite dressed for a ball--and having a ball together. And it's immortalized in today's VPOD, a gorgeous 1970s pendant necklace on an original grosgrain ribbon.
It's a very sentimental find for a vintage fashionista!
Available at Swank Vintage.
