Via Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network (as mentioned), by way of Rich Tandler over at CSNWashington.com and the “Real Redskins” blog : Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reported last night that the Redskins will put the franchise tag on Fred Davis prior to the start of free agency next month. LaRon Landry Decides to Avoid Surgery on His Achilles

By Robert_Cobb on  From profootballzone.com
According to Grant Paulsen of 106.7 the Fan in DC ,  Redskins safety LaRon Landry has decided to not undergo surgery to repair his injured Achilles tendon. I’m not sure this is the good idea for Landry,  since he took the same route last offseason and it forced him to miss eight games in 2011. Landry’s contract is up and he’ll become an unrestricted free agent once the new league begins in March. At this point I don’t see the Redskins re-signing him unless he’s willing to take a one...Read Full Story

LaRon Landry placed on injured reserve for second consecutive season

By Cartman on  From redskinsgab.com
In a move that should surprise absolutely no Redskins fan, and likely should’ve taken place several weeks ago (if not longer), the Redskins have placed safety LaRon Landry on injured reserve (IR) for the second consecutive year, effectively ending his injury-plaged 2011 season. Landry’s injury to his Achilles tendon, which he suffered in 2010 and forced the first stint on IR, never really seemed to improve at any point during the 2011 season. He was held out for a majority of training camp...Read Full Story
