LaRon Landry Decides to Avoid Surgery on His Achilles

By Robert_Cobb on  From profootballzone.com
According to Grant Paulsen of 106.7 the Fan in DC ,  Redskins safety LaRon Landry has decided to not undergo surgery to repair his injured Achilles tendon. I’m not sure this is the good idea for Landry,  since he took the same route last offseason and it forced him to miss eight games in 2011. Landry’s contract is up and he’ll become an unrestricted free agent once the new league begins in March. At this point I don’t see the Redskins re-signing him unless he’s willing to take a one...Read Full Story

LaRon Landry placed on injured reserve for second consecutive season

By Cartman on  From redskinsgab.com
In a move that should surprise absolutely no Redskins fan, and likely should’ve taken place several weeks ago (if not longer), the Redskins have placed safety LaRon Landry on injured reserve (IR) for the second consecutive year, effectively ending his injury-plaged 2011 season. Landry’s injury to his Achilles tendon, which he suffered in 2010 and forced the first stint on IR, never really seemed to improve at any point during the 2011 season. He was held out for a majority of training camp...Read Full Story

But the key to the Washington Redskins' improvement is keeping several defensive players. Safety LaRon Landry, linebacker London Fletcher, defensive end Adam Carriker and linebacker Rocky McIntosh will be unrestricted free agents. Losing all of them would cripple the defense...Read Full Story

Redskins Will Place Landry on IR

By Robert_Cobb on  From profootballzone.com
US Presswire Washington Redskins safety LaRon landry will be placed on season ending injured reserve for the second straight season after being hindered once again by the same  Achilles that ended his 2010 season early. Landry decided to not have surgery this past offseason and now it seems that it’s back fired on him,  since he was never able to perform at a high level this year. “I talked to LaRon earlier today,” said Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan. “He felt that it was quite sore...Read Full Story

How Should The Washington Redskins Approach Resigning LaRon Landry?

By Beltwayboy on  From beltwayboysports.com
How should the Washington Redskins approach resigning safety LaRon Landry this upcoming offseason? He’s eligible for unrestricted free agency after this season and will be looking to get paid. The Redskins have a big decision to make. The team has a reputation under Dan Snyder’s ownership of letting their own players walk instead of paying them when it’s time. That has happened a lot, but this situation with Landry is a bit tricky in my opinion because he’s been injured so much over the...Read Full Story

How Focused are the Skins on Rebuilding Their Secondary?

By Cartman on  From redskinsgab.com
Foot specialists have recommended that Redskins S LaRon Landry undergo surgery to repair his Achilles tendon but reports from a few days ago mentioned that he’s decided to not have the surgery. Landry, who will be a free agent, has plenty of talent but the concerns could outweigh the benefits and force him to sign a limited contract that requires him to prove that can stay healthy. As for the Redskins, the back end of their secondary could look much different come next season. Landry’s a...Read Full Story
