LARRY KING, DANA DOTE', JOHN DOTE'

LARRY KING, DANA DOTE', JOHN DOTE'

Dana Dote' is greeted at The Encore in Las Vegas by Larry King. She stood up in a capacity crowd of over 3,000 applauding fans and asked Larry "Do You Remember Me? Larry replied, "You're father is one of my best friends".  And following right behind her, Las Vegas Disc Jockey John Dote' performed alongside of his wife, Dana Dote' for the cast of the huge hit television series "American Idol". Pop super star Olivia Newton John was at the celebration. Dote' was thrilled to be invited to host the party bash for "So You Think You Can Dance" creator Nigel Lythgoe for his birthday. It was a great night for entertainment at The Lakes Las Vegas. Many performers from all over the world took to the stage that evening. According to John and Dana Dote', either one will tell you "it was a real rush singing with Olivia Newton John in the crowd. Michael Jackson never left his childhood. (CNN) -- Michael Jackson, the show-stopping singer whose best-selling albums -- including "Off the Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" -- and electrifying stage presence made him one of the most popular artists of all time, died Wednesday, according to multiple sources, including the Los Angeles Times and The Associated Press. Recording producer John Dote' remembers the "king of pop" all to well. It was during the 80's when Dote' had produced t.v. themes including Dynasty and Dallas and struck a deal with Michael's father Joe Jackson to promote the "Bad" album on Epic Records. Michael and John became close friends. They spent quite a bit of time at the Jacksons residence in Encino, California. During that time on mothers day, John and Michael wanted to surprise Michael's mother. They went to Terry York Rolls Royce dealership in L.A. to purchase a brand new Rolls Royce which was white and they tied a bow and placed it on the hood of the car. They drove it back to Jackson's home and they invited Catherine Jackson out to the driveway to give her a mothers day gift. But she did not like the color. So they drove back to the dealership and picked out a red Rolls. When they presented it to mother Jackson she was "thrilled".

Las Vegas Disc Jockey John Dote' Promoted Santana "Smooth" |

Carlos Santana / "Smooth"
It was 10 years in the making before Las Vegas Disc Jockey, John Dote' of Celebrity Entertainment, hit the market with his own created television series titled "Night Beat In Las Vegas" which featured "Smooth", By Santana. The show was aired on the UPN-Screen Gems Network...

It was during the late 60's that Dote's father gave Carlos Santana his first break, performing at The Boogaloo Club on Geneva Avenue in San Francisco, across from the famous Cow Palace where The Beatles performed. Since that period, Evil Ways had passed and Tell Her She's Lovely By El Chicano and Suavecito By Malo were riding the top of the charts with the Latin sounds of the 70's. But no other latin artist has ever accomplished what the 9 time grammy award winner has. Santana left a string of hits behind before the big one would arrive.

At the turn of the 21st century, Dote' was promoting video's for over 20 different major labels and many independant record companies as well. UPS was making their overnight deliveries of major hit releases to Celebrity Studio where Dote' produced his show. Dote' would write reviews for the new releases and either pass or put his signiture of approval on them. 2000 was a year of celebration and new releases. Dote' was handling Britney Spears "Oops I Did It Again", Le Ann Rimes "I Need You" and Santana "Smooth".

DANA DOTE' CELEBRATES THE 70TH BIRTHDAY WITH THE LIVING LEGEND HIMSELF MONTI ROCK IN LAS VEGAS. IS THE EVENT HEADING TOWARDS HBO? By Raymond Stevens / Las Vegas Events
Dana Dote' celebrates the 70th birthday for the living legend Monti Rock who has appeared on the Johnny Carson show over 30 times. The event took place at the mansion of millionaire Lance Posner who's hospitality is unsurpassed. Dote' entertained guest's with her perfomances of "The Look Of Love" and "Get Here" with the legend himself by her side during her performance. Her husband, John Dote' also gave a performance on the piano of the smash hit "Loving You" by Minnie Riperton. The event was filmed by Bob Cumming's and the word is out that there is the possiblity this event will air on the HBO network. When one talks about the DISCO era, the names they mention include Donna Summer, Barry White, Gloria Gaynor, The Trammps, Kool and The Gang, K.C. and the Sunshine Band. Those are great names, but the FIRST DISCO ARTIST that crossed over into Pop Culture was MONTI ROCK III. He appeared on the TONIGHT SHOW with Johnny Carson in the very early seventies. He would come flying out, a flaming superstar, Queen of the stage along with these stereotypical Bimbos he called the Sex-o-lettes and start singing his hit song
GET DANCIN.

DANA DOTE' DEBUT'S AT RIVIERA HOTEL FOR NEIL DIAMOND TRIBUTE

Dana Dote' makes her Las Vegas Debut at The Riviera Hotel "Live" on stage in the Neil Diamond Tribute starring Jay White. By her side was her husband and recording producer John Dote' and guitarist Rocky Saruby. Dana took to the stage with grace as she sang the smash hit "You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore", a duo with Jay White that would have rivaled the Diamond / Streisand team. Dana received a standing ovation for her performance which left her husband in tears. It was a gripping moment for all that attended. As for Jay White, his every move was like that of the icon himself, Neil Diamond.  Forget the glowing reviews from critics and fans. Neil Diamond impersonator Jay White has received the two best endorsements of all. Both Neil Diamond and his mother, Rose, have called White their "favorite tribute performer.

Capitol Records strikes deal with Las Vegas Disc Jockey John Dote' / Hands Over Entire Catalogue / Las Vegas, NV. / By Laura Kerr / Legends of music staff writer

Bizarre and incredible is what Las Vegas Disc Jockey John Dote' describes his interview and their "live performance" at House Of Blues in Las Vegas with hot punk rap group Kotton Mouth Kings. Their single releases on Capitol Records titled "Dogs Life" and "Peace Not Greed" were just the beginning of their Las Vegas success, courtesy of the host of Night Beat In Las Vegas John Dote'. Dote' struck a deal with Capitol Records who turned over it's entire catalogue that included Merideth Brooks, Garth Brooks, Geri Halliwell (former Spice Girl), Robbie Williams, The Beatles, Lee Ann Rimes and The Kotton Mouth Kings.

Kottonmouth Kings (often referred to as KMK or the King Klick) are an indie rap group from Placentia, California. Formed in 1994, by Brad "Daddy X", under the name P-Town Ballas or simply PTB. The name of the group is derived from the effect of dryness of the mouth induced by cannabis use, often called "cottonmouth." They are a powerful force in the underground rap scene, with a particularly strong following in Southern California.
