This Mami loves Spanish music as well as English. In Spanish I listen to bachata merengue salsa and reggeaton. Artists for each genre would be Aventura (love them!) Oro Solido (old school) Marc Anthony (beautiful voice!)and Daddy Yankee (duh! Lol!) In English I listen to R&B (Mariah, Mary J, Alicia Keys etc) and some hip hop. Whatever is played on the urban station basically. Even though with some of this new hip hop I feel like I’m getting to old for that stuff. Even though I’m supposedly included in the so called hip hop generation some of these songs are just way too young ... Read Full Story

My world is over!! No really! Seriously. Ok not really. Just being overly dramatic right now. I was googling my telenovela because I was looking for a picture of the main actress who’s new haircut I’m in love with. It’s long layers and I just want her hair. I’m sure it’s a weave but I’m trying to let my hair grow out so I can get that look. It’s so grown up and sexy. Anyway I stumble on a picture of her (Millie) and Alejandro (the main actor) kissing and she’s wearing a wedding dress. Well they just finished filming yesterday and now it’s ... Read Full Story

I’m surprised that I haven’t included him in the list of hotties I’ve got going on here. He’s so sexy to me especially his voice. Swoon!! Ok…I’ve stopped drooling for the moment. Before Aventura, bachata was looked at as old people music. But they’ve mixed it with hip hop, and r&b which appealed to the younger generation. When I first heard their song Obsession, I was hooked! The capia is the popular favor in old school parties. From baby showers to baptisms to wedding and birthdays the capia is a favor that's pinned on each guest as a memento of the party. It has a printed ribbon in the party colors with the name or occasion on one side and date on the other. It has a lace doily in the back. That's as similar as they get. They can be big or small and have a cross or bible glued to it for baptisms to baby bottles and pacifiers for a baby shower and the theme of any birthday party ... Read Full Story
