This is a tragic situation. It reminds me of Roxana Saberi who was recently released from Iran. Hopefully Laura Ling will be freed North Korea just as Saberi was freed from Iran. Why has this type of situation happened twice in the last several months? Is there a connection? If they were in North Korea, illegally, then I guess that adds complexity to this situation.
