Police appear to have their man in connection with the killing of Auburn University freshman Lauren Burk. Burk, whose funeral is slated for today in Georgia, was killed last Tuesday evening by a single gunshot wound to the head. Authorities believe Courtney Lockhart, 23, of Smiths Station, Ala., is the guilty party. Lockhart was arrested on Friday in Phenix City, Ala. after reportedly leading officers on a high-speed chase. An Alabama man arrested Friday in connection with the shooting death of Auburn University freshman Lauren Burk, has been charged with three counts of capital murder. Courtney Lockhart, 23, of Smiths Station, was charged with capital murder, capital murder during a robbery and capital murder during an attempted rape.
