Many may remember the case of Lauren Burk, an 18-year-old freshman from Marietta, Ga., who lived in an apartment near campus and was found on a roadside about 5 miles from the university; her car was later found ablaze in a campus parking lot.
Well, the suspect Courtney Lockhart has confessed to the murder. He claims before he shot her, he tried to rape her. His attorneys, including Joel Collins, could not be reached for comment after business hours Monday. Fox news has continuous updates on this story.
