Laila Ali - The Daughter of A Legend

When talking about Laila Ali, we always remember to talk about his father, the ultimate boxing legend, Muhammad Ali. Lalia is the second child of Muhammad Ali and his third wife Veronica Porsche Ali. Now the question is, can we categorized her as a sport legends too? Too answer that, let's talk about her professional career first.

Laila was born on December 30, 1977. She started her professional career in December 8, 1999. Until now, her professional record is 24 wins (21 KO's) - 0 draw - 0 loss. She currently rated at Super Midleweight Class (72.5 Kg) and hold the IBA, WIBA, IWBF world title.



One of her famous fights was in 2001 when she faced Jackie Frazier-Lyde the daughter of other boxing legend, Joe Frazier. The fight was nicknamed Ali/Frazier IV in allusion to their fathers' famous fight trilogy. Ali won by a majority judges' decision in eight rounds. Laila Ali last fight was on November 11, 2006 with a TKO win against Shelley Burton. She gave birth to her first son Curtis Muhammad Conway Jr. on August 26, 2008, which prevented her to coming back to boxing ring.
