Lesson 3: Rooma-ji S’s and Z’s
Another day, another lesson. Incase you guys were wondering, I will teach you Hiragana after Rooma-Ji. The reason why I put only two sets is because in Hiragana Z depends on S.
Now, I hope you practiced you base Rooma-Jis. As it will help you a lot on the future lessons. Here it goes…
Sa - The sound “Sa” in Lisa
Shi -The same sound as She
Su - The sound “Sue” in Dr. Sues
Se - The sound “Se” in Semi
So - The sound “So” in Soft
Next, the Z’s
Za - Pronounced as tza, or the sound “za” in pizza
Ji - Kind of like “Shi” except like a Z in front; Zhi. The reason why they use “Ji” is because the younger generation started pronouncing as Zee; So they changed it to Ji to get a better pronunciation.
Zu - Prounced as Zoo.
Ze - The “Ze” sound in Zepplin
Zo - Think about the word Soldier except with a Z in front. The sound “Zo” in Zoldier.
See ya tomorrow!
