On Friday, I had the opportunity to help out at the shoot in the studio. Angela Barioli, the secretary of the National Broadcasting Society, interviewed five students that had participated in a program called Project Shell (Soaring High in Language and Literacy), funded by the department of education. The students took classes at Lynn in secondary education, and also participated in after school programs teaching students who needed extra help in learning English as a second language. I find it a privileged and an honor that I was asked to speak on behalf of the student body at Founder’s Day. Being so involved on campus on multiple levels and interacting with students on a daily basis I have the opportunity to really capture what occurs in the Perper Plaza on campus. Every day it is utilized in a multitude of ways. Students read, skateboard, do homework, and we use the space often for programs.
