Mr.
Levi Johnston, strap yourself in and hold on tight. This is a feeding frenzy.
Johnston is the 18-year-old high school hockey player with a square jaw and dark, curly hair who recently pulled down his MySpace.com page after it was discovered that he is the father of
Bristol Palin's unborn child.
Enjoy the ride, Levi. For the next 15 minutes, you and Bristol are bigger than Brangelina. You even deserve a cute celebrity couple name. How about Bristolevi? Not very creative, but I'm sure Gawker can come up with something catchy.
For the record, I don't know if any of this Bristolevi stuff is going to affect the election, but some of Levi's MySpace info is pretty interesting considering the conservative stances espoused by Bristol's mother, Republican VP candidate
Sarah Palin.
On his MySpace page (which has since been taken down), Johnston described himself as an agnostic "f-----' redneck" who is in a relationship, but is not interested in having kids. Looks like that didn't quite work out.

In
a statement released by the Palin family in conjunction with the
John McCain campaign, it is said that Bristol and Levi are to be married and will keep the child.
Under intense media scrutiny and political pressure, it's impossible to imagine that the teenage couple came to this decision completely independently. It's enough to make you feel bad for the kids, really. They pretty much have to get married and have the baby to avoid a massive political blow-back that could end Sarah Palin's greater political career and at the same time turn the entire national media against them.
It sucks to be you, Levi.

But maybe that's all wrong. Maybe the kids are in love and everything will end "happily ever after." McCain/Palin will win the White House. Bristol and Levi will sell the baby pictures to People magazine for a fat wad of cash. Then they'll enjoy a high-profile marriage that will see them turned into American royalty.
It could happen you know -- maybe in the same fantasy land where Sarah Palin actually thinks the media will "respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy."
