A community portal about Lex Luthor with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor is a fictional DC Comics supervillain. Created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster as a Superman villain, Luthor first appeared in Action Comics #23.
Over the years, we’ve been treated to some brilliantly evil villains on screen. These shady adversaries all have their own signature evil lair as their headquarters when they aren’t busy plotting to take over, enslave or annihilate the world. So what makes a good lair? In the best criminal hideouts we look for sheer scale and ambition, legions of henchmen who seem to volunteer for such skullduggery, armies of button-pushing assistants in white coats, internal monorail systems, next... SCREENWRITER and comic book scribe Kevin Smith says he believes Star Trek director J.J. Abrams is the perfect choice for the next Superman movie.
Smith (right) told MTV : "Based on Star Trek, I'd hand it to J.J. [Abrams] and say, 'Go!'
"Clearly, the dude knows how to craft a really warm and wonderful piece of mainstream entertainment. And that's what Star Trek is - it works like crazy as a mainstream movie, and it has warmth."
He continued: "[Star Trek] isn't just assembled by... Read Full Story
It appears that infamous Latino Review site has gotten a scoop that Warner Brothers is soliciting scripts for the next Superman film that will feature a villain that is anyone but Lex Luthor.
According to El Mayimbe,
“At the moment, the execs haven’t heard anything they like yet but the kicker is that WB wants a NEW VILLAIN from Superman’s Rogues Gallery to be the main antagonist… NOT LEX LUTHOR! Writers have been told to come in to the studio to pitch a story with a new villain but... Read Full Story
SMALLVILLE showrunner Todd Slavkin says Michael Rosenbaum's last scenes in the hit sci-fi series had been a very emotional experience for the actors and crew.
Slavkin is now one of the show's four executive producers following the departure of Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, as I reported back in April.
He added that saying goodbye to actor John Glover, in an earlier episode, had also been very difficult.
Smallville depicts the early years of Clark Kent before he became Superman... Read Full Story

Comic Con 2006 brought us the panel by Bruce Timm where he announced that a direct-to-DVD movie covering The Death of Superman, World Without a Superman, & Reign of the Superman would be his next undertaking. And while the film is not a complete retelling of the comic books (the battle between Superman and Doomsday is different, Supergirl is not in this movie, and we deal with Lex Luthor instead of Lex Luthor II), the film does capture the essence of Superman and is up to par... REPORTS have appeared to indicate that Kevin Spacey will reprise his role as Lex Luthor in the next Superman film - even though that's highly unlikely if the franchise is being rebooted.
In an interview with the actor in The Independent, which was then repeated word-for-word in The Belfast Telegraph the following day, it stated "producers of the follow-up to Superman Returns... will be paying him (Spacey) big bucks to reprise his role as Lex Luthor next year."
Spacey gives no... Read Full Story
ACTORS Sam Witwer and Cassidy Freeman are to join the cast of hit TV show Smallville as the new villains in its upcoming eighth season this autumn.
American TV network The CW, which makes the series, says Witwer (right) will play Davis Bloome, a charismatic Metropolis paramedic who is forced to confront a growing darkness inside him that threatens to be a harbinger of doom.
It's believed that Bloome, 30, will be the show's version of comicbook baddie Doomsday, a superpowered being who... Read Full Story

THE WEBSITE I mentioned in the previous blog doesn't just offer a quiz to see which superhero you are - it can also match you to a supervillain.
I just took part and ended up as Lex Luthor, with an 80 per cent match to the villain, who is the archenemy of Superman. The website calls Lex "a brilliant businessman on a quest for world domination and the self-proclaimed greatest criminal mind of our time."
Luthor was played by Gene Hackman (pictured above centre) in the previous set of... Read Full Story
Well, this is an interesting little blurb. In a feature
article in
The Independent ,
Kevin Spacey
addresses the not-so-nuanced differences between acting for the stage and for
the screen. As you may know, Spacey has been the artistic director of the
legendary Old Vic theatre in London for a few years, so the Oscar winner is more
than qualified to speak on that subject. The typically outspoken Spacey was
unsurprisingly pointed.
"The main difference between the experience that I've... Read Full Story
