Everything Lhasa Apsos and Shih Tzu! The Tibetan Lhasa Apsos is one of the world's original domesticated dog breeds, taken directly from Wolves. Once they arrived in China, Lhasas were mixed with the Pekingese--the hilarious and hardy Shih Tzu was born. Although Lhasas are not for everyone, Shih Tzus generally get along will all kinds of people and other pet animals. Health and behavior problems can be common with all dogs, or unique to these two breeds.

I'll admit it - I have always kind of looped the Lhasa Apso in with "similar" breeds, like the Shih Tzu. Not that I did not think of it as a separate breed, I just did not a lot of difference.
