Woman Attacked Over McCain Bumper Sticker

Ashley Todd, a 20 year old Pennsylvanian, is claiming that a man robbed her while she was at an ATM and after noticing her McCain bumper sticker, returned to beat her.  The alleged attacker then carved a backwards “B” on her cheek.  That’s right, a backwards “B”, like someone would carelessly do if they were using a mirror to scratch a “B” onto their own face.  If true, this is a terrible crime and the assailant should be punished.  But, as Fox News has reported, there is several inconsistencies with her story. And we also have our own problems with the story.

For example:

1. The backwards “B” carved in her face with a knife looks more like a faint scratch.  The attacker must have been extra careful not to break the skin of his struggling victim.

2. Of course, there’s no footage of the attack from the bank’s ATM or any other video captured, though she was robbed while withdrawing money.  These days, EVERYTHING is caught on tape, from Paris’s latest sexcapade to that mother who was caught beating her children in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

3. It can’t be that easy to scratch a perfectly shaped letter “B” into a struggling women’s face.  I have a hard time making that perfect of a “B” on a non-struggling piece of paper.

4. Why over a McCain bumper sticker?  I mean, I don’t like the guy either, but attack somebody over it?  I could see one of those annoying “My child is an honor student” bumper stickers.  Then you could carve an “F” in their face while screaming, “Now you know what an “F” feels like!”

This woman’s story could very well be true, and if it is proven we will offer our condolences to her, but until then she might as well have scratched a B.S. in her face for Bull Shit!
