Are you for real????? Do you know anything about this women or her family? How dare you make such a nasty comment about a truly wonderful, good, kind hearted human being! Lisa and Todd Beamer were two highly educated people. Both of them were hard working people. They worked hard for what they had/have!!! What do you know about them and there real lives, except what you assume to be your truth.

I can not beleive that anyone would make a comment like that. The personal suffering that she went through and that her children went through does not have a price tag. Not to mention that her three children will not have their father with them while they grow up. People in this country need to quit being so judgemental. May God truely bless Lisa's family and each and every family that was affected by the attacks of 9/11.

I'm happy for Lisa. I can't imagine being pregnant with child #3 and losing my husband. This person's comment doesn't deserve the attention it is getting, as they are obviously not educated nor well.

It's ridiculous to call this "news." I am certain Todd had a solid insurance policy for the family that he obviously loved very much. I am just as certain Lisa would trade her new home to have Todd back if she were given the choice.

It is this kind of nasty jealousy that divides our nation. It is a veiled innuendo to garner support for socialism. News Flash!!! It is a failed notion!!

I say good for Lisa. I don't care if she lives in a castle, she was an inspiration to our country when she could have just curled up in a ball. Her book changed many lives and her faith carried her through a terrible, terrible personal tragedy. I still think about her often (hence the google search) and pray for her family.

I JUST VISITED THE CRASH SITE IN PENNSYLVANIA (LAST WEEK) AND WAS "AWED" BY THE OURPOURING OF PROFOUND SADNESS THERE.
EVEN TOURISTS FROM GERMANY WHO WERE AT THE SITE UNDERSTOOD THE TRUE PATRIOTISM AND SACRAFICE OF THOSE BRAVE SOULS WHO SACRIFICED THEMSLEVES TO AVERT ANOTHER CRASH IN OUR CAPITOL. GOD BLESS TODD BEAMER AND HIS "CREW" , AND GOD BLESS LISA AND HER CHILDREN, AND, HER NEW HUSBAND!

I read the book that lisa Beamer wrote, and thought
about her a lot. She has suffered more heartache that
most of us can immagine. Lisa, i hope you are doing well
and I am proud of you although you wont ever know me.

I don't understand how anybocy could be so cruel. You obviously have no idea what it is like to lose someone you love. Lisa Beamer went through grief that you can't even relate to, including having their 3rd child after he was killed. Can you even imagine how difficult that was? I also read her book; I recommend you do the same. As for the money, I'm sure Todd saw to it that she and their children were taken care of. I'm sure she would trade all of that to have him back. She survived this loss with the help of friends, her family, Todd's family (who adored her) and most of all because of the faith in God that she and Todd both had. You should be ashamed of yourself and you owe her an apology! As for her marriage I'm sure Todd would've wanted her to find someone to love and help raise their children. God Bless her, her new husband and the children!

This comment is utterly devoid of dignity. What would the writer have her do? Cry and be the nations face of mourning the rest of her days? If she has found a partner to love and who can love her and her children, God bless him, her and the children. At a time when the world needed a face and a reasonable voice of Grace, Lisa Beamer became that. She then stepped back and dealt with all she had to deal with, the depth and intensity of such we can not even begin to imagine. We can pray we won't ever have to deal with such horror and loss. Years have passed, and from the ashes of 9/11 whatever joy she can eke out and find comfort and love should be respected, and admired. Once again, even in this, she is an example to us all that life, even when it has presented one with the ugliest of scenarios, can also surprise us with hope, love, and courage.

America had her for a while, as did Todd, may he rest in peace. Now let her and her family live in peace.

One must remember that this new man is just a substitue for the real thing. He isn't the father of her childeren. They only have one real dad.

You people make me sick.....SHE IS NOT remarried...I live near her, and see her on the soccer fields, grocery stores, anywhere in town. She is mostly intoe with her children....SHe is a wonderful mother, who always seems to put her children 1st. She deserves the world for what her family gave up that day.....

If Lisa got all this money - she didn't ask for it...but if the story is true she could have made a contribution to other youg widows or any organization involed with 9/11 instead of keeping it all to herself...what about his family? did she give anything to them

Money can never replace not only what she lost, but the pain she lives with. As for money, I, along with millions of others, tried to give money to help with many different things. One way was to write a book that probably will never even sell well. We offered it to Red Cross, NONE OF THE WRITERS TOOK A PENNY... they replied it was not enough! I always thought even that one penny we didn't take was "enough," especially considering Red Cross would have to do nothing, we took care of all publishing, etc. I was wrong.
