CHICAGO ( Reuters ) - The Illinois attorney general plans to fight a lawsuit filed by Missouri which seeks to keep the federal government from blowing up a Mississippi River levee. The states have divergent interests, since intentionally breaching the levee could prevent flooding in Cairo, Illinois , an historic town of about 3,000 residents, but cause flooding of 130,000 acres of Missouri farmland, which contain about 100 homes.
