Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Lito Sheppard is working out for the Raiders on Tuesday , according to a league source. With cornerbacks Chimdi Chekwa and Chris Johnson inactive during last Sunday’s game against the Browns, the team’s decision to try out Sheppard again, comes to no surprise. The Lions are reportedly pursuing Lito Sheppard with some competition from the Bears per ProFootballTalk.com. Sheppard was drafted by the Eagles and had a contractual based falling out with ownership.  He was traded to the Jets in the 2009 offseason for a fifth round pick in 2009 and a conditional 2010 pick.  The 2010 pick may have been related to him being on the Jets roster since his play didn’t warrant his release.
