Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Lito Sheppard is working out for the Raiders on Tuesday , according to a league source.
With cornerbacks Chimdi Chekwa and Chris Johnson inactive during last Sunday’s game against the Browns, the team’s decision to try out Sheppard again, comes to no surprise.
Sheppard was signed by the Raiders on August 26, and released during the final roster cutdowns on September 3.

Sheppard was drafted by the Eagles and had a contractual based falling out with ownership. He was traded to the Jets in the 2009 offseason for a fifth round pick in 2009 and a conditional 2010 pick.
