Let’s try this again: Raiders bring in former Pro Bowl CB Lito Sheppard

By Cartman on  From raidersgab.com
Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Lito Sheppard is working out for the Raiders on Tuesday , according to a league source. With cornerbacks Chimdi Chekwa and Chris Johnson inactive during last Sunday’s game against the Browns, the team’s decision to try out Sheppard again, comes to no surprise. Sheppard was signed by the Raiders on August 26, and released during the final roster cutdowns on September 3. Last season, the Florida product appeared in 13 games with the Vikings and started two...Read Full Story

Lito Sheppard Set to Make Return Against Bears This Sunday

By kruise on  From footballnews-247.com
Filed under: Eagles , NFC East , NFL Injuries , Philadelphia While the Eagles defense has been holding their own in Lito’s absence, I’m sure Jim Johnson and the rest of the crew will be happy to see Lito Sheppard return to the lineup on Sunday against the Bears. “Lito’s a playmaker. Hopefully we get him in there enough times where we’ll see how he’s going to play,” Johnson said Thursday. “Right now I see him playing quite a bit. I don’t know what kind of shape he’s in. We’ve got to see...Read Full Story

Philadelphia Eagles Preview

By Ryan Lester on  From lesterslegends.com
Jase Patrizio , one of my best friends and an Eagles fanatic, was kind enough to preview the Eagles for me. Health is such a commodity in the NFL today. If your playmakers can’t avoid injury it obviously changes the shape of your team’s season. Last year for the Philadephia Eagles there were injuries to many key players. Brian Dawkins (11 games), Lito Sheppard (10 games), L.J. Smith (10 games) and the oft-injured Donovan McNabb missed 3 games due to an ankle injury in Miami. However this is...Read Full Story

How about Lito Sheppard?

By Cartman on  From steelersgab.com
Another cornerback is going to be on the market when free agency kicks off Friday, that being current Jets CB Lito Sheppard. Word is that Sheppard and RB Thomas Jones will both be released, meaning that both will be going to any team they choose. So Sheppard is going to be available, and of course we all know that the Steelers could use a corner. So what do you think about Sheppard? He’s 28 years old, and has been with two teams, the Eagles and the Jets. In 104 career games he has 19 career...Read Full Story

Lions taking a look at now free agent CB Lito Sheppard

By Cartman on  From nflgridirongab.com
The Lions are reportedly pursuing Lito Sheppard with some competition from the Bears per ProFootballTalk.com. Sheppard was drafted by the Eagles and had a contractual based falling out with ownership.  He was traded to the Jets in the 2009 offseason for a fifth round pick in 2009 and a conditional 2010 pick.  The 2010 pick may have been related to him being on the Jets roster since his play didn’t warrant his release. After a couple of down seasons and some early season injury issues...Read Full Story

Lito Sheppard signed

By RantSports on  From rantsports.com
One of the glaring weaknesses on a very solid Vikings team is the cornerback position. I fully expect Minnesota to address that deficiencystarting in the draft Thursday night. But in a stop gap measure, the Vikings signed the oft injured CB Lito Sheppard. Sheppard is nearly 30 years of age and will be playing now for his third team in three years. He brings with him a resume including 19 career interceptions and 284 total tackles.   I believe he is nothing more than veteran depth to...Read Full Story

Lito Hires Rosendouche

By Inside the Iggles on  From insidetheiggles.com
It looks like the Lito Sheppard situation just took a turn for the worst. He has dropped his old agent, and hired mega agent Drew Rosenhaus . Eagles fans will always remember Rosenhaus as the slime ball agent who did whatever it took to get TO out of Philadelphia . Players love Rosenhaus, and NFL teams have nightmares about dealing with him. He uses every trick in the book to get what he wants for his clients, even if that means holding his players out, or having them create a disturbance...Read Full Story

Some Thoughts On The Stillers Game

By Inside the Iggles on  From insidetheiggles.com
Opening Drive Cause For Concern?: The Steelers took the field on the opening drive, and ran the ball down the Eagles throats. Actually runs to the outside seemed to really hurt the Eagles the most. With two undersized defensive ends,  I guess it makes sense to run the ball to the edges. Seeing that worried me some, and I wonder if this will be a problem all season. This might sound crazy, but maybe with Victor Abiamiri  out, the Eagles should consider starting Darren Howard or maybe even...Read Full Story
