Bahrain aims to raise oil output to 250,000 bpd

Bahrain's oil and gas minister Abdul Hussein Mirza on Thursday said the Gulf nation is seeking to increase its oil production to 250,000 barrels per day (bpd) over the next seven years. Bahrain currently pumps 33,000 bpd of oil from its own field, and plans to raise that to 100,000 bpd in seven years after an agreement last month with US oil firm Occidental Petroleum Corp and Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Development Co, Mirza said.
