Florida football Coach Urban Meyer resigns
GAINESVILLE, Fla., Dec. 26 (UPI) -- University of Florida football Coach Urban Meyer resigned unexpectedly Saturday.
Athletic Director Jeremy Foley made the announcement Saturday afternoon after receiving Meyer's decision.
In a statement on the school's Web site, Meyer, 45, cited health and family reasons.

Wigan Athletic's Premier League match at home to Bolton Wanderers on Monday has been postponed on safety grounds, officials have announced.
