Is Your Liver Cleansing Diet Letting You Down?

Most people never think about using a liver cleansing diet. Smart people aren’t most people. A whole body cleanse with a liver cleansing diet has been used for centuries by thousands of people of every culture who understand the benefits of using natural detoxification for a healthy detox.

Smart people know that.
Is your liver in overload from too much coffee, alcohol, sugar, refined foods as well as the hundreds if not thousands of toxins from pollution, pesticides, chemicals, heavy metals and drugs?

If you follow the right liver cleansing diet the benefits range from clearer, healthier skin to weight loss, flatter stomach, abundant energy and a more relaxed body that can keep your organs more youthful - longer.

Your liver cleansing diet should revolve around three main principles: diet, herbal supplements and bodywork. Each one rids your body of built-up waste manifesting as extra weight, excess fat cells, feeling tired, feeling bloated and poor skin tone. Cleansing your body, liver, kidneys and colon cleanse helps reverse the process.

Okay, let’s get serious – to get the most from any liver cleansing diet its best to start with a light fasting a few days before you start the main diet. This prepares your body for the main liver cleansing diet by flushing out existing toxins in the body.

The idea is to eat simple foods your body finds easy to digest and leave out all the other stuff.
Eating junk food, fatty foods or overeating will stop your body from cleansing and slow your metabolism. So if your intention is to get rid of waste, don't contribute to waste build-up during the process.

What You Should Absolutely Avoid

·         Eating processed foods is a ‘no-go’ zone - including pre-prepared foods found in boxes, bags, cans, and plastics.
  • Refined sugars. Get sugars from fruit. If you’re craving more sugar then try natural alternatives such as honey, agave nectar, or maple syrup and use in moderation!
  • No fatty foods or high fatty meats, fried foods, butter or margarine.
  • No pickled or vinegary foods – these will counteract any good you do on this diet if you insist on having them.
  • Foods with preservatives, pesticides, and antibiotics.
  •  Alcohol is taxing on the liver and should be avoided.
  • Coffee and tea should be cut out. Find substitutes without caffeine like white tea.
  • Avoid overeating. Reduce the burden on your liver and body by eating small to moderate sized meals.
  • Try eating your largest meal at breakfast and your lightest meal at dinner.
  • Get at least eight hours of sleep a night.

What you Can Eat
The liver cleansing diet focuses on fresh whole foods and drinking plenty of filtered water and fresh juices. Food includes:
  • Whole grains and legumes. Whole grains such as brown rice and oatmeal help boost digestion while beans are high in liver-sweeping fiber.
  • Raw fruits and vegetables. Raw fruits and vegetables are high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. The fruits and vegetables should always be fresh (no frozen or canned fruits and veggies!). Organic locally grown food is best if your busy schedule allows. Juicing your fruits and vegetables easily increases your intake of healthy foods.
  • Foods with healthy oils. Omega-3 oils are ideal for liver cleansing and can be found in foods such as flaxseed, walnuts, and oily fish. Raw avocado is one of the healthiest sources of oils.

Raw fruits and vegetables should make up at least a third of the food consumed daily.

You can expect to sleep better, feel lighter, get better skin tone and color and feel more energized. You might even a few inches around your stomach and be less bloated!

If this works try a colon cleanse or kidney cleanse but whatever body detox diet you use make sure it’s a healthy detox method that’s simple and easy.
