A black pencil skirt can be paired with a suit jacket and button down for day and with a simple shell or evening top for nighttime events. The same thinking goes for a little black dress-accessories can change a sedate shift from conservative to cocktail chic in one snap-throw on some sparkly jewelry and strappy heels and you'll be ready to party. Even a black pantsuit can be jazzed up when the right accoutrements are added and perhaps a different underpinning is added to the mix. Choose wisely when shopping for these pieces, as they're useful classics, you'll likely want to invest in quality items that can be worn over and over again.
