Enthusiast shares his father's collection with the gardens

While Hetty Jane Dunaway Sewell tended her version of a Japanese garden at Dunaway Gardens back in the 1940s, a U.S. Air Force pilot stationed in Japan after World War II began his lifelong love affair with the Bonsai tree. And now, after 50 years, the two paths have merged, with that same pilot's Bonsai trees finding a permanent home at the revitalized Japanese garden at Dunaway Gardens in the Roscoe community of north Coweta County.
