Stalking Lorne Michaels Apparently Not a Crime

Pro tip to any aspiring celeb stalkers out there: Stick to off-camera talent, and you can apparently get away with a lot more. 32-year-old Evans Pidhajecky, accused of stalking Saturday Night Live's exec producer Lorne Michaels, walked out of a New York court today a free man, told by the court to go forth and stalk no more.

Pidhajecky was charged after popping up in person at  Michaels' place of work, 30 Rockefeller, several times, as well as Michaels' home near Central Park. New York prosecutors have worked out a deal that will see all charges dropped if Pidhajecky stays out of trouble for six months, attends twice-weekly therapy sessions, and stays away from Michaels.

Pidhajecky, an aspiring stand-up comedian, claimed that Michaels had stolen some of his material, and used it as fodder for sketches on SNL. How had Michaels gleaned these nuggets of comedy gold? Telepathy, naturally.

Even if Michaels didn't use his Svengali powers to steal idea from Pidhajecky's mind, the writers have made fun of of stalking itself, writing a sketch goofing on Lifetime movies called To Love, Honor, and Stalk.
