It’s that time again to start talking about free agency, and we’ll spend some time breaking down positions, and today we are going to start with maybe the most important position on the field - quarterback. Here are our rankings of Free Agent QB’s, and what we think will be the end result for some of these players.
1. Kurt Warner - Cardinals: The Super Bowl QB is going to be a free man, but expect the Cardinals to make a more than fair offer to keep Kurt around, win or lose the big game a... Read Full Story
The backup QB spot for the Steelers just got a lot more interesting, as last years backup to Big Ben - Byron Leftwich, has decided to take a spot with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Leftwich last season played a big part in a pair of games for the team, making a couple of big plays in the wins over the Redskins and Browns.
He started for the Jaguars from 2003-2006, but was released by the team nine days before the start of the 2007 season. From there he went to the Falcons, but was a bust and... Read Full Story
It might not take very long for the Bears to realize that Rex Grossman and/or Kyle Orton is not the answer at QB, and if that happens, or if it happens early enough, the team may turn to Tampa Bay for a possible QB alternative. The Bucs will be one of those teams that a lot of teams look at for QB’s, as they currently have no less than seven on the roster after the weekend draft, and plan on bringing five into camp from reports around the league.
So who would the Bears or another QB... Read Full Story

The glory from last week’s victory over Detroit did not help Atlanta in their game against division rival Tampa Bay. Turnovers and strong defense by the Bucs held Atlanta to 234 total yards.
Atlanta QB Matt Ryan (13/33, 158 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs) had a hard time completing his passes to his receivers for most of the first half. He had two interceptions and went 0 for 9 before making his first completion to WR Roddy White with less than six and a half minutes to go in the second quarter... Read Full Story
Now that teams have had their rosters cut to 53, teams continue to look to make moves with players trying to make their roster stronger. Such a deal has gone down between two Florida teams, as the Bucs and Jags have completed a deal in which the Bucs have sent backup QB Luke McCown to the Jags.
The Jags in turn have sent a late-round conditional pick back to Tampa Bay. It was well known once Byron Leftwich got the starting job that the Bucs were shopping McCown. The Jags were a good match... Read Full Story
Rookie quarterback Josh Freeman has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will be given an opportunity to compete for the starting job.
